Ingredients
6 potatoes cubed into small pieces
3 cloves of garlic crushed and sliced
4 tbs of sambar powder
salt
oil
Method:
Heat 2-3 tbs of oil in a heavy skillet and add the cubed potatoes and garlic cloves, salt and sambar powder or rasam powder, which ever you are fond of and give it a good stir. Keep the lid on and cook on a low flame, till the potatoes are soft and start to brown, add more sambar powder, salt or oil to get the desired texture and taste. You may even sprinkle some water to steam the potatoes to make it soft.
Enjoy this tasty potato sidedish with rice or roti.
This is an all time favorite for all of us..Though i make it like our grandma makes little chilli,turmeric,salt and add some water and cook it first till its soft and then add the oil and fry for some time till the sides become crispy..I will be trying this receipe this week..
